The Role
Xos is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Warehouse Manager to join our dynamic team at our Xos Byrdstown Manufacturing Plant. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to lead our warehouse operations and contribute to the continued success of our company.
As a Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient, receipt, storage, and distribution of goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, and implementing best practices to streamline processes. Your strong leadership and organizational skills will be critical in managing a team of warehouse personnel to achieve operational excellence and meet the company's objectives.
Responsibilities
- Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures
- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
- Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage systems
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
- Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results.
- Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
- Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Support Material Synchronization Process maintaining visibility of potential shortages and true shortages
- Support Visual Manufacturing Flow (including materials) and manufacturing progress control
- Develop and control materials picking, and delivery schedules based on the master production schedule
- Manage inventory levels in accordance with plant, group and corporate goalsand methodologies
- Manages the movement of material from min/max and Kanban system through the assembly processes. Supports the quality department with the control of non-conforming material
- Receives, coordinates, inputs, and establishes the manufacturing bill of materials per engineering orders as well as plans add/delete dates on engineering changes
- Responsible for continuous improvement of materials processes and Plan for Every Part process. Supports the achievement of production objectives
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience within Supply Chain/Materials Management
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or Engineering or equivalent relevant experience
- Must demonstrate strong experience in supervision and/or managing people
- Experience in manufacturing environment and inter-relationship with other areas is required and includes knowledge of the purchasing function
- Self-starter with the ability to adapt interpersonal styles and techniques to influence at all levels of the organization
- Customer focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Sound judgement and problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed

Good eye and hand coordination, and ability to identify color variations, depth perceptions and close or distance visual items. Worksite locations, including outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
