Senior Plant Operator

The Capital Projects Team develops, coordinates, and directs projects for the design, construction and operation of processing plants utilizing Twelve’s proprietary technology.
Job Brief
In this role, you will be integral in the commissioning, operation, and improvement of Twelve’s e-fuel plant. You will lead and engage in planned plant initiatives, including startup, equipment maintenance, and turnarounds. Successful operation of the plant is paramount to achieving Twelve’s mission of transforming CO2 into essential products, including our E-Jet® fuel. You will operate, monitor, and take daily readings of the plant data; this includes collecting samples for analysis. You will be ensuring that all operations tasks required for the production plant are performed safely, according to established operating procedures and safety best practices.
This is an on-site role located in Moses Lake, Washington.
What you will do
- Be a champion for safety by promoting a safety first culture and ensuring a safe work environment with a commitment to zero workplace injuries.
- Monitor and oversee all plant operations for many types of equipment (such as compressors, pumps, distillation columns, gas absorption and adsorption systems, hydro processors, and electrochemical systems) and unit operations.
- Perform plant walkarounds, ensuring process equipment is operating correctly.
- Rapidly solve operational problems, avoid unexpected delays and shutdowns.
- Complete basic autonomous maintenance activities including LOTO (lockout/tagout), calibration, resin bed replacement, filter replacement, etc.
- Maintain a log of daily plant health, including plant run status, any alarms that occurred during the shift and how the problems were solved. Report safety concerns including near miss, hazards, and incident reporting through the appropriate channels.
- Operate control board for the plant via an HMI (Human-Machine Interface)
- Train and lead junior operators.
- Suggest continuous improvement activities that will help optimize plant operability and product quality; drive procedural development and reviews.
- Must be willing and able to work both day and night shifts (12 hour) and be on-call when required.
Who you are
- You have a high school diploma or GED (Graduate Equivalency Degree).
- You have 7+ years of relevant work experience:
- Troubleshooting process equipment in a manufacturing or chemical plant setting
- Operating a control board via HMI
- Preparing for equipment maintenance - LOTO
- You have basic computer skills.
- You have excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- You have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- You are forklift certified (or able to become certified).
- You are willing to travel up to 30% (domestically) for training, commissioning, and startup assistance.
- You are willing to take part in Twelve’s emergency response team, including fire and rescue.

- You are able to:
- Lift a minimum of 40 lbs
- Climb ladders and stairs
- Stand for prolonged periods – including walking, bending, and stooping
- Be comfortable with wearing PPE (personal protective equipment) for extended periods of time, including a respirator

United States Wage Range: $41 - $48/hr + differentials
