Senior Data Analyst

About the Senior Data Analyst, Operations Analytics role
Trove is building world class operations supporting the unique “one of one” environment of used items. In this role, you will work side by side with our Operations team to drive improvements at our warehouse in Brisbane, California. You will leverage your analytical background and experience to improve our performance measurement and identify the highest-leverage opportunities for the operations team. This position reports to the Sr. Director Data Analytics and will have a close working relationship with the leaders of the Operations & Partnerships team and the rest of the data teams.
What You’ll Do
- Work directly with functional teams across Trove to empower all Trovers to access and understand our data, leverage it to discover new opportunities, take actions to improve business performance, and make better decisions.
- Ensure all Trovers have visibility into key metrics and the impact of our work, and understand how data can inform actions to improve business performance.
- Support decision-making through analysis of prior performance, research, and clear presentation of considerations.
- Partner with Finance, Growth and Operations to improve visibility of forecast work and ensure that forecast assumptions are aligned upon and flow through all relevant forecasts.
- Work with large datasets to investigate key business trends, performance, issues, behaviors, and metrics and present compelling narratives to explain results to executives.
- Build tools that help partners optimize supply generation programs
- Build tools that enable partners to deeply understand the performance of their resale program as a standalone program (pre-built reporting) and as a channel within their larger business (data feeds).
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to prioritize data team-enabling features within product pillars (e.g. partnering with Dir. of Product for Supply to prioritize supply pricing infrastructure improvements)
- Become the expert on the data generated by real-world processes in our warehouse operation, and drive process and software changes to ensure Trove’s analytics needs are met.
- Be a thought leader for the Operations team on how to identify hypotheses and KPIs for new initiatives up front and how to measure impact of changes.
- Ensure ongoing support and maintenance of reporting systems and develop creative solutions to business problems and workflows.
- Partner in cross-functional (with other Trove team members, brand partners, and third party organizations) sustainability initiatives to lead industry understanding of the impact of resale and to drive continuous sustainability improvements within Trove.
Experience You Bring

- You love understanding processes and leveraging data to understand what works and what doesn’t.
- Masterful at breaking down tasks, planning, and delivery.
- Experience framing business questions with data and translating business needs into actionable data deliverables - processes, analyses, reports, and datasets.
- Track record of communicating complex analyses to a general audience and tell a compelling data-driven story.
- Experience working collaboratively to prioritize your workload, but bringing a strong data-informed point of view.
- Expert-level SQL, Tableau, Looker, familiarity with git-based workflows, and comfort with the technical work performed by a modern analytics team
- Collaborative mindset and a strong preference for working with many different teams.
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience working in operations (manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, industrial engineering).
- Familiarity with our data stack: Redshift, dbt, Looker.
- Experience building datasets (ETL methods) and using statistical programming languages (pandas, R, etc...) in an industry setting.

Trove is committed to creating an equitable and transparent workplace. The annual compensation range for this position is $92,700.00-$181,700.00 plus competitive bonus and equity. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, location and skills and may vary from the range listed above.
