The Role
Xos is seeking an energetic Senior Accountant that likes to obtain accelerated learning and experience in a high growth environment. You will be responsible for day-to-day accounting as well as monthly financial reconciliations for key accounts. An effective Senior Accountant will have a solid knowledge of GAAP. You must be a highly organized professional with a great eye for detail. You must be reliable and able to carry out tasks autonomously and collaboratively. The goal is to keep the accounting and financial processes of the company up to standard and ensure accurate financial reporting and control.
Responsibilities
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and record appropriate journal entries
- Assist with other areas of the monthly close, financial statements, and reporting package
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
- ensure compliance with GAAP principles
- Assist with internal management financial reporting
- Assist with management reporting and financial flux analysis
- Support with internal and external audit processes in a timely and comprehensive manner
- Support with internal and external audit processes in a timely and comprehensive manner
- Support with the implementation of new features in NetSuite and other financial systems
- Assist in implementing new accounting policies and updating older policies to confirm with accounting standards adopted by the Company
- Assist in technical accounting; helping ensure compliance with all SEC, FASB, and other technical developments
- Special projects as required
- Additional responsibilities as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Accounting/Finance or related field; CPA a big plus
- 3+ years experience; background in public accounting a plus
- Understanding of GAAP
- Understanding of accounting in a consumer goods and manufacturing environment
- Prior experience with NetSuite ERP system is a plus
- Efficient communication and ability to work in a team environment
- Proficient in MS Excel
- Ability to take initiative, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and willingness to preserve confidentiality
The salary range for this role is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Xos Inc. reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less that the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including not but limited to, job-related knowledge, skillset, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, geographic location, and other business or organizational factors.
- California: $90,000 - $110,000
