Role
We are seeking a Research Associate to join our research colleagues in performing and analyzing experiments on our core technology in our laboratories. For this role, you know what it takes to set up experiments in a reliable manner. You enjoy working together in multidisciplinary teams but also independently. The chosen candidate will be responsible for synthesizing CO2-sorbent using wet-chemistry techniques and executing performance tests on the synthesized samples using gas-phase sorption equipment - the lab feels like your second home! The Research Associate will also propose and design new experiments based on their knowledge and experience. As the company grows, the growth opportunities grow along.  

Responsibilities
- Set-up of experiments and work closely together with a team of technicians and engineers.
- Perform gas-phase experiments in the lab.
- Perform wet-chemical synthesis of CO2-sorbent.
- Accurately document experimental results.
- Process/analyze data on the performed experiments.
- Perform maintenance on the equipment.

Job requirements

Our ideal candidate is someone who:
- Has relevant working experience in this field or education in Chemistry of Chemical Engineering. Your relevant experience or knowledge is paramount, regardless of your educational level. 
- Has a relevant background and/or knowledge in Wet Chemistry and Material Chemistry.  
- Is fluent in English, both speaking and writing, as we work in an international environment.
- Has a proactive attitude, and can easily adjust while being a team player.
- Is energized by our purpose and is ready to take a leap into our startup.
- Is living within commuting distance from Eindhoven or willing to move there, because that’s where our magic happens!
