People Operations Associate

Our corporate operations, business development, communications, and policy teams support Running Tide’s front-line workers in scaling our interventions to tackle humanity’s most urgent challenges: restoring ocean health and combating climate change.
We are looking for a reliable People Operations Associate to join our team and support the management of day-to-day business operations. In this role, you'll perform administrative tasks, assist other company departments as needed, and ensure smooth daily operations.

This is a high-visibility role that will work with a wide variety of stakeholders across the team. You will be responsible for a number of things and every day will look different. The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative and a self-starter. The People Operations Associate will report to our Business Operations Manager.
You Will:
- Own and participate in various HR-related tasks such as managing on-boarding and off-boarding procedures and overseeing projects across multiple HR functions.
- Facilitate hiring and recruiting processes by coordinating with and supporting hiring managers to prepare job descriptions, screen resumes, interview candidates, and more.
- Coordinate team and office activities, including setting up meetings and brainstorming sessions, coordinating across teams, and planning events to promote our fun and inclusive culture.
- Ensure compliance with Running Tide policies as well as employment laws.
- Assist with managing Running Tide's benefits enrollments, travel planning, company documents, processes, and other workflows.
- Collect and monitor data related to Running Tide and its team members' carbon footprint in Iceland.
- Lead and promote a positive and inclusive culture that aligns with our company's values
You Are (or You Have):
- Highly organized individual with great communication skills (written and verbal)
- Able to “go with the flow” in our fast-paced, fast-growing company and be able to acclimate to the company’s needs as they evolve
- A team player with a positive spirit
- Experienced in developing and running culture initiatives to ensure a high performing distributed (both onsite and remote) workforce
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- A passion for making a significant contribution to the fight against climate change
