About Mission Zero Technologies:
MZT is an early-stage start-up pioneering a breakthrough Direct Air carbon Capture (DAC) technology that can scrub CO2 from the air using a fraction of the energy compared to incumbent technologies developed by the likes of Carbon Engineering and Climeworks. In the past two and a half years, MZT has evolved its technology from concept to pilot plant scale, successfully raising over £8m from a mixture of private and government funding. MZT’s technology is a hybrid of approaches, combining efficient solution-phase capture of CO2 with a continuous and compact electrochemical separation technology. 
Mission Zero and its work is guided by its principles of bold curiosity, problem solving acumen and hope for the future. We strive to realise a world where humanity has new tools to fight climate change, remove CO2 permanently from the atmosphere and produce everyday products such as concrete blocks or fuels from atmospheric carbon emissions. To do this we need to realise a decentralised Gt supply chain for CO2 sourced directly from the atmosphere.
The opportunity: 
You have the opportunity to join MZT at a pivotal point in our company's history - our transition from an early-stage R&D startup into a product offering, revenue-generating company poised to rapidly scale our direct-air capture technology across the world. You will work cross functionally across teams, straddling technology development, engineering delivery and commercial development, ensuring continuity of effort, information, purpose and vision. 
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Developing, owning, and delivering the physical product vision and product roadmap of the company
- Collaborating with commercial leads on the development and versioning of new or modified products for strategic market sectors
- Sole direction and oversight over the Engineering team and Fabrication team to deliver MZT’s CAPEX order book and path-find efficiencies for future product manufacturing respectively
- Joint direction and oversight, alongside the CTO, to implement R&D and product execution strategies
- Nurturing relationships with suppliers, fabricators and engineering partners
- Monitoring and improving operational efficiency in lab and pilot facilities
The Ideal Candidate will possess:
- Demonstrated experience and qualifications across combinations of process, mechanical, electrical, risk/safety, product engineering disciplines with substantial track record in hardware product design and development
- Commercial acumen and an opportunity driven mindset
- The ability to thrive while managing and coordinating multiple teams
- A data-driven approach to making decisions with excellent communication across levels and outside the organisation
- The ability to work alongside senior management on all relevant matters
- Passion for and experience in the energy and climate sector
Also desirable:
- Subject matter knowledge in water treatment technologies, electrochemical technologies, gas processing technologies
- Understanding and experience with production methodologies
- Ability to create, modify and utilise techno-economic models to inform the prioritisation of R&D
