Pachama is looking for a Carbon Development Global Manager to help Pachama originate the highest quality forest carbon projects globally. In this role you’ll manage our team of Carbon Development Leads to source, design, and develop Originals through trusted partnerships with implementation partners and landowners. You will build relationships with our strategic partners to advance projects and expand portfolios. You will partner with cross-functional teams to execute with excellence. And you will lead and contribute to initiatives to scale Originals and strengthen operations for quality, timely development of projects.

Location:
This role is fully remote. However, being located in Latin America is preferred for this role given the growth of Pachama’s Originals program in the region.

What You Will Help Us With:
- Manage and mentor our team of existing originals development leads
- Support the team to build a strong pipeline of project opportunities and effectively execute to move projects through the pipeline
- Be accountable for end-to-end project operations to ensure Originals are successful projects, meeting Pachama standards and Verra requirements
- Develop and implement an effective cross-functional operating model to strengthen project operations
- Build senior relationships with our strategic partners to address challenges as they arise on projects and expand portfolios
- Provide input to shape key cross-functional initiatives including product development, go-to-market strategies, operating procedures and policy standards for Originals
Experience & Skills We're Looking For:
- University degree or equivalent experience in forestry engineering, environmental science or related fields
- Experience developing forest carbon projects end-to-end under Verra methodologies
- Demonstrated success of building relationships with external partners
- Track record of managing high functioning operations teams with an outsized impact
- Ability to effectively operate with flexibility in a fast-paced, ambiguous, team environment
- Resourcefulness and tenacity with a strong sense of curiosity and passion for learningTrue passion for our mission and strategy to use technology to enable carbon financing to truly unlock restoration and conservation of forests worldwide
- Proficient in Spanish and Portuguese
- Willingness to travel
