California Climate Action Paid Summer Fellowship
California Climate Action Corps
General Program Overview & Benefits – Summer 2023
Hey there, climate champion!
Are you ready to take climate action, connect people with volunteer opportunities, build community resilience, and get compensated along the way? You’re in the right place!
As part of California’s comprehensive strategy to address climate change, California Volunteers, Office of the Governor created the country’s first state-level climate service corps and Fellowship program. California Climate Action Corps (CCAC) is a national service program led by California Volunteers and implemented by Bay Area Community Resources dedicated to advancing equitable climate action that engages community members, cultivates change, and leaves a lasting impact.
CCAC Fellows serve as AmeriCorps members and are matched with organizations across California in target regions, including tribal communities, Oakland, San Jose, Fresno and the Central Valley, Los Angeles, the Inland Empire, San Diego, and Butte County and surrounding north state counties. Fellows mobilize these communities through volunteer engagement to take climate action and lead projects focused on wildfire resiliency, urban greening, and organic waste and edible food recovery.
