Business Analyst Intern
The Business Analyst Intern will join our Utility Client Solutions team for the summer to assist in synthesizing charging data into meaningful metrics and insights that can be shared with utility clients. Over the course of the internship, this role will be responsible for leading a data analysis project from ideation to completion while collaborating with members from the Utility Client Solutions, Data Engineering, Product, and other teams. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about electrifying transportation and achieving impact at scale. Most importantly, we are looking for an intern who loves turning data insights into action through data storytelling.
Core Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver a data analysis project focused on providing meaningful insights to our utility clients and/or internal teams
- Present the project and its outcomes to the broader team and leadership at the end of the internship
- Conduct ad hoc analyses and deep dives to inform decision-making, strategy, and experimentation
- Triage potential product gaps or issues by leveraging data analytics to identify the root cause, quantify the impact of the issue, and suggest potential solutions
About You
Basic Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in a technical field such as engineering, data science, mathematics, or business analytics
- Experience using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Mode, Looker)
- Experience using SQL to manipulate large datasets in relational databases
- Advanced user of Excel
- Ability to operate successfully in a fast-moving startup organization
- Passion for decarbonization and reducing global climate risk
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred Qualifications
- Pursuing a Master's Degree
- Energy or mobility experience is highly desirable
- Experience with statistical modeling to guide A/B and multivariate testing
- Experience working with business analytics for a consumer technology company
- Highly organized and process-oriented
- Fluency using R and/or Python for scripting and data analysis
Location
This role will be based on-site at the WeaveGrid HQ in San Francisco, CA.
The compensation for this opportunity includes a salary of $35 an hour.
